Our new collectionRumi Dreamsis emerged from our longing to enter the multilayered view of the life and universe of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, one of the greatest poets and philosophers in human history. Rumi incorporated poetry, music and dance into religious practice. The collection is inspired by the moves of whirling dervishes of Sufism and revealed in the colors of sky and earth. To achieve this vision, we worked on the fluid form of blue, coral and white enamel and applied various moves to create a transitional flow. Food culture played a large role in the formation of collective Sufi identity as a social activity which is parallel to Kapka’s emphasize on the table as a uniting divine experience. Thus, in this collection we introduce square baking tray, our newest form to gather around a blessed table.
